Day 9 ~ Bubble Trouble
After all of yesterday’s writing it’s time for some more crafty fun! This is one of “My Pigeon Pair’s” favourite painting activity! Bubble Painting!
“I love to play with this soapy mix
But need your help so I don’t get in a fix
Take me outside and blow them into the air
And make a Christmas Wish, and don’t forget to share!”
The Elf is sitting in a cup with a straw in his mouth! Some bubble mixture is close by! Or if you want to go with a “Painting” theme…..

We are going to be painting and dying so how about dying the milk green!

This one can be just for fun or as part of an art and craft activity.
- Younger and Older children love the chance to go outside and blew bubbles! Try using different sized and shaped bubble wands!
- As a craft activity;
- Add some paint and dishwashing detergent to a cup. You don’t need a lot of detergent to make a lot of bubbles!
- Add water.
- Children blew through the straw until the coloured paint bubbles reach the surface.
- Press a piece of paper, a paper doily, or even some canvas over the bubbles! The more paint in the cup the brighter the bubbles will be!
- You could use Christmas Coloured paint and the paper doilys to make a gorgeous Christmas bunting!
- Or use your bubble painting paper, cut it into some Christmas shapes to make some Christmas Cards.
- Bubble Painted paper also makes great wrapping paper!
Of course I had to squeeze some learning into these fun “bubble” activities.
Time for some Bubble Maths!
This activity is all about fun but by completing the printables you are also covering some maths curriculum! This activity covers concepts such as measurement and size and introduces mathematics terms most and least. Children will also demonstarte one to one correspondence by counting the bubbles correctly.
We just love bubbles! But I am particularly looking forward to making some bubble painting, paper doily bunting! Try saying that in a hurry!
